1.       Andy Baker:

(Head Varsity Coach)

 

Ÿ         S.M.H.S. Head Swim Coach since 1994  (11years)

Ÿ         S.M.H.S. Boys swim record over the last three years (23-11)

Ÿ         Vista High School Head Water Polo and Swim Coach for Boys and Girls (1999)

Ÿ         10 years experience as a lifeguard at 3 pools in San Diego County

Ÿ         Given swim lessons to swimmers ages 3-70

Ÿ         Aquatics Director for the Escondido County Club for 3 years

Ÿ         Swam with the S.D.S.U. swim team in 1998

Ÿ         Graduated in 1998 with an A.A. in Liberal Arts, a B.A. in

Ÿ         Mathematics and a Minor in Music

Ÿ         YMCA club swim coach 1997-1998

Ÿ         S.M.H.S. Alumni. Four-year varsity swimmer, and three-year varsity water polo.

Ÿ         Two-year captain in both sports.

Ÿ         Recipient of the M.V.P. award in 1993.

Ÿ         Head Varsity Boys and Girls Swim Coach for the Grizzlies inaugural season. (2005)

Ÿ         Created 6th period  team sport class for swimming.

Ÿ         Created partnership with the 24 Hour Fitness Center for the 6th period team sport class.

Ÿ         Helped to re-instate water polo for Sam Marcos High School.

2.    Chris Baker:

(Head J.V. Coach)

 

Ÿ         Head J.V. Boys and Girls Coach S.M.H.S. for three years (1999, 2001-2002)

Ÿ         Head J.V. Boys and Girls swim coach in the Grizzlies inaugural season. (2005)

Ÿ         Lifeguard for 4 years

Ÿ         Swim instructor for the 49er camp at California State University Long Beach.

Ÿ         All-American Swimmer in College.  Member of two state champion relay teams.

Ÿ         Swam at Palomar College for two years

Ÿ         S.M.H.S. Alumni.  Four-year varsity swimmer.  Two-year captain.

Ÿ         Recipient of the M.V.P. in 1996 and 1997.

Ÿ         Current record holder in two events at S.M.H.S.

Ÿ         Recipient of the Comet of the Year Award in swimming.  It is the most prestigious award for sports at Polomar College.

Ÿ         Given swim lessons to swimmers ages 5-18

Ÿ         Lifeguard at the Bernardo Heights Community Center

Ÿ         Graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in Kinesiology and Physical Education.

Ÿ         Club Swimmer for 7 years

 

3.    Anthony Stone:

Ÿ         Head Boys J.V. Soccer Coach for M.H.H.S. in 2004

Ÿ         Graduated from SDSU in Social Science (1998)
